Alex helped me secure a new position in less than half the time it takes, on an average basis, for a person to find a new job. Alex was instrumental during the time I found myself looking for a new position. I've had other job placement and headhunters’ support in the past, but Alex is in a league of her own. 6 out of 6. That is the ratio of interviews that have moved onto the final rounds since Alex helped me reframe my experience to interview in these new waters. I had always been a strong interviewee. In fact, I was able to get 8 offers from fortune 100 companies out of 9 applications post graduate school. Those companies were the best of the best in their respective fields. The next time I needed to interview a few years later, I found opportunities within weeks- given offers on the spot or within days of the interview. So this time, when I found out that my position was being eliminated, I thought to myself, no worries: what do you want to do next? I had met Alex via common friends and, even though I was impressed by the things she had accomplished in a short time span and her passion for her profession, I didn't think I needed her help. After all, I had done this successfully many times before. It took me 4 months to recognize I needed help. My wake up call was after an interview with a friend for a position that, without question, I should have been the best possible candidate. I had the most knowledge of anyone in the world; I had previously done the work and delivered strong results among the same group of people I would be working alongside. Several of them found out I was interviewing and even reached out to the hiring manager to say: "SO, Frederic is coming back?" having assumed there was no way I wouldn't be getting the job... But I wasn't. In all honesty he told me: "You bombed this interview, I don't even know what you do." There was no excuse. This was a friend. I reached out to Alex, hesitant but desperate. We talked about my background, experience and what I wanted to do in the future. We worked on defining current strengths, and redoing my resume. The changes were small but significant, and I immediately started noticing results from both. The best part was her non-judgemental interview practice and feedback. Small tweaks here and there, and that brings me to the first number: 6/6. I went into 4 interviews before working with Alex and all of them resulted in rejection. Every single interview I have had since, has resulted in moving to the last stages or offers.
